Nairobi, Kenya – Delegates of the USK Foundation had the wonderful opportunity to meet with His Excellency Taye Atskeselassie, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ethiopia, during the 6th Session of the United Nations Environment Assembly (UNEA-6).
The assembly was convened by the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) at its headquarters in Nairobi, Kenya.


This high-level diplomatic encounter provided a valuable platform to discuss the intersection of foreign policy, international cooperation, and global environmental priorities. The meeting highlighted Ethiopia’s leadership in regional and continental environmental initiatives, climate diplomacy, and sustainable development efforts, while exploring avenues for enhanced multilateral collaboration on pressing ecological challenges.
Such engagements between foreign affairs leaders and civil society representatives underscore the critical role of diplomacy in advancing unified global responses to environmental issues and fostering stronger international partnerships.
