Nairobi, Kenya – Delegates of the USK Foundation had the opportunity to meet with Her Excellency Dr. Claudine Uwera, Minister of State for the Environment of Rwanda, during the 6th Session of the United Nations Environment Assembly (UNEA-6).
The assembly was convened by the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) at its headquarters in Nairobi, Kenya.



This bilateral engagement provided a valuable platform to discuss Rwanda’s progressive environmental policies, climate action initiatives, biodiversity conservation efforts, and strategies for sustainable development in the East African region. The meeting highlighted shared interests in strengthening international cooperation to address global ecological challenges, including green growth, ecosystem restoration, and community-centered sustainability approaches.
Such high-level interactions reinforce the importance of diplomatic dialogue in supporting African leadership on environmental matters and advancing collective commitments to planetary health and resilience.
