Empowering Marginalized Voices: USK Foundation Engages Minorities & Marginalized Peoples Section to Advance Indigenous Rights in Kenya
Nairobi, Kenya – In a significant step toward advancing the rights and well-being of underserved communities, delegates from the USK Foundation—acting as the local implementation partner for the United Ancient Nations (UAN)—recently met with Mr. Lowoi, Head of the Minorities & Marginalized Peoples Section, to establish a strategic partnership for community empowerment across Kenya.
The high-level session focused on aligning UAN’s two decades of global humanitarian experience with Kenya’s 2025–2035 national policy objectives and the proposed Minorities Bill. By bridging traditional ecological and social wisdom with modern public policy, the collaboration aims to create long-term self-reliance and restore dignity to indigenous and minority populations.

Educational Advancement: Launching a dedicated scholarship program tailored for indigenous and minority youth to build future leadership and technical capacity.

Global Advocacy: Amplifying local minority voices by providing representation and reporting at international UN forums.

Mr. Lowoi welcomed the delegation, expressing strong appreciation for UAN’s published contributions on global minority issues and confirming his section’s readiness to collaborate on pilot activities in Kenya.
To support the launch of these humanitarian programs, summit hosting, and regional infrastructure, the USK Foundation has outlined a Humaniatian support program to Kenya.
