Nairobi, Kenya – Delegates of the USK Foundation met with Honourable Josué Alejandro Lorca Vega, Minister of People’s Power for Ecosocialism of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, during the 6th Session of the United Nations Environment Assembly (UNEA-6).
The assembly was convened by the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) at its headquarters in Nairobi, Kenya.


This bilateral meeting provided an important platform to explore ecosocialist approaches to environmental protection, sustainable development, and social justice in the context of global ecological challenges. Discussions centered on integrating community-led initiatives, resource sovereignty, and equitable policies to combat climate change, biodiversity loss, and environmental degradation while promoting harmony between people and nature.
Such engagements highlight the significance of diverse ideological and regional perspectives in shaping inclusive international environmental strategies and fostering South-South cooperation.
